Don’t overthink it, Lindsay
I have begun this blog a dozen times. Don’t overthink it, Lindsay, just write your thoughts for the day. Okay.
I am trying hard to retrain my brain to think positively when I see certain things that trigger me rather than perpetuate harmful thoughts that have been deeply conditioned in my brain. This applies to many things in my day to day. Cold, rainy, dreary days are great for reflection.. I listened to the rain pelt the street and plants below, thinking how it’s so refreshing to watch yesterday’s gunk wash away down the gutters and drains, All the shame, the regrets, the shoulda’s and coulda’s…they all wash away so that tomorrow we can have a fresh start. The grass fully dressed with water beads on the tippy tips, reminding us that those regrets were there yesterday, so today, don’t fuck it up. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, reminding us it’s ok to rewrite our story today. Yesterday was just that.
Today, we lead with kindness, watch for those who need help, do something, and create something.
Gripe of the day: student loans. That’s all.
